12th Annual Christmas in July

Celebrate the holidays in the middle of summer at this free family event held at Wyandotte County Lake Park. The festivities kick off at 6 p.m. and run until dark, when a fireworks show lights up the sky. You'll find activities centered around the Marina and Boat Ramp areas, with the Beach Shelter offering the best spot to watch the fireworks display. Bring your lawn chairs and settle in for an evening of live music, a glow party, a boat parade on the water, a fishing derby, and raffle prizes. Multiple food vendors will be on-site, including Chick-fil-A, Holy Smoke BBQ, Kona Ice, and others, so you can grab dinner without leaving the park. It's a casual, no-cost way to spend a summer evening with family and friends by the water.
