7th Annual McLain’s Bakery Waldo Block Party

McLain's Bakery is throwing their seventh annual block party, and they're pulling out all the stops to celebrate with the community. This outdoor gathering features live music and dancing, plus plenty of free activities for kids: balloon artists, face painting, pumpkin painting, carnival games with candy prizes, and an interactive bubble experience. You'll also find food options including the bakery's homemade chili, Italian sausage sandwiches, coffee, and a shared dessert table. Several local vendors will have pop-ups on site, from a candy shop to a photo booth.
The highlight for many families is the famous Cake Toss competition—think of it like an egg toss, but with an actual cake. This year, they're also introducing a Kids Cupcake Toss for children 10 and under, with teams of two. If your family wants to participate in either toss competition, you'll need to email the bakery to register ahead of time, as only 20 team slots are available for each. The bakery has added extra seating this year to make the experience more comfortable for everyone.
