A Father's Poder

A Father's Poder at Visit KCK

A Father's Poder tells the inspiring true story of Saturino Alvarado, a Mexican immigrant father who fought during the 1920s to secure his children's right to attend Argentine High School—and succeeded. This dinner and theatre event, organized by Argentine Betterment Corporation and VisitKCK, brings this important piece of local history to life on stage. The production is performed by students from Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools, making it a meaningful celebration of Argentine High School's legacy. Tickets range from $5 to $20, and the event includes dinner alongside the performance. This is a wonderful opportunity for families to experience a powerful story about perseverance and educational access while supporting young performers in the community.
