Beginning Horsemanship for Youth

Learn horseback riding basics: safety, grooming, tacking, and care.

Your child will learn the fundamentals of working with and riding horses in this beginner-friendly class. The instruction covers essential skills like safety practices, grooming techniques, how to properly tack a horse, basic care responsibilities, and hands-on riding experience. All the foundational knowledge your young rider needs to feel confident around horses. Before attending, make sure your child wears hard-soled shoes and long pants. A riding helmet is required for safety, and the program provides one for participants. This is a great introduction for kids who are curious about horses and want to develop real horsemanship skills in a structured setting.
