FOTZ Early Days

Friends of the Zoo members get a head start on summer with early admission hours during the hottest months. Beginning at 9:00 am on select Saturdays and Sundays, you'll have first access to Zoo Central, Australasia, and Tiger Trail before regular crowds arrive. Several popular attractions also open early, including the Beastro Cafe, KC Zoo Railroad, Flying Flamingo ride, and Endangered Species Carousel. The Africa section and its rides open at their standard time, weather permitting. This perk is completely free for FOTZ members, making it a great way to beat the heat and enjoy the animals when temperatures are cooler and the zoo is quieter. If you're not yet a member, these early openings are just one of many year-round benefits worth considering.
