Free Weekend Fun: Bach to Nature
Make art inspired by Bach's music at Nelson-Atkins Museum's free weekend workshop.
Your family is invited to create art inspired by music at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. Kids will explore the creative process of artist Farhad Ostovani, who drew inspiration from classical compositions. As Bach's Goldberg Variations play in the background, children will experiment with hands-on activities like rubbing rose leaves to create natural patterns and using collage techniques to design their own artwork.
This free program runs weekly through January, giving you multiple opportunities to participate. Sessions happen at 11 a.m. and continue throughout the morning, so you can drop in at a time that works for your schedule. It's a wonderful way to introduce young artists to the connection between music and visual creativity, all without any cost to your family.
