Free Weekend Fun: Nouveau Notes
Free family craft and gallery exploration at Nelson-Atkins Museum exploring timekeeping across cultures.
Spend an afternoon creating at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art with two hands-on activities. In the Bloch Building lobby, you'll design your own postcard inspired by the artistic style of Alphonse Mucha. Then head to Gallery 128 to explore how artists use color, shape, and line to build striking visual compositions—with help from Museum Guide volunteers to guide your discovery.
This is a completely free, drop-in event with no registration needed, making it easy to stop by whenever fits your family's schedule. The activities run for three hours, so you can arrive and participate at your own pace. It's a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon engaging with art in a casual, creative way that works for kids and grown-ups alike.
