GloWild: Hidden Treasure

GloWild: Hidden Treasure

Glow-in-the-dark trail adventure through the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium.

This fall, the Kansas City Zoo transforms into a glowing nighttime adventure with GloWild: Hidden Treasure. You and your family will follow a mile-long illuminated path designed like an expedition in search of lost riches. Along the way, you'll discover intricately lit sculptures depicting ancient shipwrecks, buried treasure sites, jungle landscapes, and explorer camps. Created by over 150 artisans using steel and thousands of feet of fabric, these handmade displays turn the Zoo into a radiant world filled with clues, artifacts, and plenty of photo opportunities. The experience typically takes about an hour to complete and opens at 6 pm, operating Wednesday through Sunday evenings. Kids can enjoy the Endangered Species Carousel for free from 6 to 9 pm (weather permitting), and on Wednesdays you'll also have access to Sobela Ocean Aquarium during your visit. The path includes concessions and entertainment stops throughout. Be sure to check the Zoo's operating calendar, as GloWild closes Mondays and Tuesdays except during Thanksgiving week, and pricing may vary by date.
