GloWild: Hidden Treasure

Step into an evening of glowing adventure at the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium this fall. GloWild transforms the zoo into a luminous treasure hunt experience, with a mile-long glowing path that guides your family through scenes inspired by ancient shipwrecks, buried treasure sites, jungle expeditions, and more. Handcrafted lighted sculptures—made from over 34 tons of steel and 89,000 feet of fabric—create an immersive world full of discovery. Expect to spend about an hour following clues and artifacts through the displays, with plenty of photo opportunities along the way. The one-way route includes concessions and entertainment to keep everyone engaged. The experience runs from 6 to 10 pm Wednesday through Sunday (closed Mondays and Tuesdays except Thanksgiving week). Wednesday visitors get bonus access to Sobela Ocean Aquarium, and everyone can ride the Endangered Species Carousel free from 6 to 9 pm, weather permitting.
