GloWild: Hidden Treasure

GloWild: Hidden Treasure brings an enchanting nighttime adventure to the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium this fall. Guests follow a glowing mile-long path through immersive scenes inspired by ancient shipwrecks, treasure sites, expedition camps, and jungle landscapes. Handcrafted lighted sculptures—created by 151 artisans using steel and thousands of feet of fabric—guide you through the journey, complete with clues and artifacts that create the feeling of a genuine treasure hunt. You'll find photo opportunities, food vendors, and entertainment throughout the route, which typically takes about an hour to complete. The experience runs from 6 to 10 pm on Wednesday through Sunday evenings. On Wednesdays, you'll also have access to Sobela Ocean Aquarium during your visit. Kids can ride the Endangered Species Carousel free from 6 to 9 pm (weather permitting). This year features seasonal-themed lanterns and activities to enhance the adventure.
