GloWild: Hidden Treasure
Nighttime zoo adventure with glowing art installations and seasonal animal exhibits.
Step into an evening adventure at the Zoo where glowing lantern displays transform the grounds into a treasure-hunting expedition. Following a mile-long illuminated path, your family will discover intricately crafted sculptures inspired by shipwrecks, buried treasure sites, jungle camps, and ancient mysteries. Created by 151 artisans using steel and fabric, each display features clues and artifacts that guide you deeper into the adventure, with plenty of photo opportunities along the way. The journey typically takes about an hour to complete.
The experience runs from 6 to 10 p.m. on Wednesdays through Sundays, with the lantern paths available as soon as the gates open. Kids can ride the Endangered Species Carousel free from 6 to 9 p.m. (weather permitting), and Wednesday visitors gain access to Sobela Ocean Aquarium during their visit. Seasonal-themed lanterns and activities add special touches throughout the run. The Zoo is closed Mondays and Tuesdays except during Thanksgiving week, so check the operating calendar before you visit. Food and beverages are available along the path.
