Letterpress Poster Workshop

Your young artist will get hands-on experience with traditional letterpress printing in this two-day workshop. Participants ages 12–14 will learn how letterpress equipment works and explore how this historical technique creates contemporary art. The group will work through the complete poster-making process together—from brainstorming and design all the way through typesetting and printing. You'll also get a chance to discover poster designs by artists featured at The Rabbit hOle. The workshop runs Tuesday, July 14th and Thursday, July 16th from 10 a.m. to noon. Tickets are $40 for general admission, $30 for members, and $15 for MFA members. A few practical notes: have your child wear clothes that can handle getting inky, plan to be present at drop-off and pick-up, and remember that museum admission is separate from your workshop ticket. If pick-up runs more than 10 minutes late, a $20 fee will apply.
