Magpie Makers Challenge: Vehicles of the Future
Creative building challenge at Magpie Creative Reuse—design futuristic vehicles from recycled materials.
Magpie Creative Reuse is hosting a summer-long series of maker challenges, with the Vehicles of the Future session coming up in late July. Kids drop in anytime during the open studio hours and pay just $5 per child at the counter to participate. The space provides curated materials themed to each week's challenge, but your child directs their own creative process—there's no instruction or structured lesson, just open-ended making time.
This is a great fit for children of any age who enjoy hands-on building and tinkering. Kids will work with recycled and reused materials to imagine and construct their own vision of future transportation. The drop-in format means you can arrive whenever works for your schedule within the window, and afterward, families help tidy up the space they've used. It's an affordable, low-pressure way to let kids explore creative problem-solving at their own pace.
