Nature Storytime

Join your little ones for an interactive outdoor learning experience at the Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens. Nature Storytime welcomes children ages 1–6 to enjoy stories, music, and movement activities led by Stepping Stones KC. Sessions happen on the second and fourth Thursday of each month, with a cozy indoor setup during colder months and outdoor exploration when weather permits. This is a wonderful way to spark curiosity about nature while getting kids moving and singing together. Here's what you need to know: A $5 participant fee applies per child, in addition to regular Arboretum admission ($3 for ages 6–17, $7 for adults; free for children 5 and under). Friends of the Arboretum members receive free admission. You'll meet at the Environmental Education Center, and a caregiver must attend. Registration is required before the event. The venue is fully accessible for visitors with mobility needs.
