Nature Storytime

Your little ones will love this interactive program designed for children ages 1–6. Led by Stepping Stones KC, each session combines stories, songs, and movement activities set right at the Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens. The program runs on the second and fourth Thursday of each month, with sessions held indoors during colder months and outdoors when weather permits. It's a wonderful way to spark curiosity about nature while enjoying music and playful activities with other families. Registration is required, and a caregiver must attend. The cost is $5 per participating child, plus regular Arboretum admission (free for ages 5 and under, $3 for ages 6–17, $7 for adults). Caregivers and siblings only pay standard admission. Friends of the Arboretum members receive free admission. All participants should meet at the Environmental Education Center. The venue is handicap accessible, making it welcoming for all families.
