Needle Felting with Alpaca Fiber

Your child can learn the craft of needle felting using soft alpaca fiber at YaYa's Alpaca Farm. This introductory class welcomes kids ages 5 and up and meets once monthly on Monday afternoons at 2:00 PM. Led by Mrs. YaYa, the hands-on session covers alpaca fiber basics, proper needle handling, different needle types and their uses, and design fundamentals. Participants explore working with color and shading techniques while creating their own small beginner project to take home. By the end of class, students understand needle felting supplies, realistic project timelines, and where to find materials to continue at home. All class materials are provided, and the cost is $40 per person. This is a great entry point into fiber arts, and if your child enjoys it, you can arrange additional sessions beyond the regular monthly schedule by contacting the farm directly. Note that fiber classes run through September 2026.
