Prairie Village Jazz Festival

Bring the family to Harmon Park for an afternoon and evening of live jazz performances. The festival runs from 3 to 9 p.m. and features multiple bands throughout the day, including the SME Blue Knights, Nick Hmeljak's Open Channel, Stanley Sheldon's Rhythm Republic, the Stephen Martin Quartet, and Freedom Affair. It's a relaxed outdoor setting where you can spread out a blanket or bring lawn chairs to enjoy the music. Admission is just $5 per adult, and kids under 18 get in free. Food and drinks are available for purchase on-site. Free parking is offered at several nearby locations, including Shawnee Mission East and the Prairie Village Pool, with accessible ADA parking at Prairie Village City Hall. Service dogs are welcome, though other pets aren't permitted. Just note that outside food and beverages aren't allowed, so plan to purchase refreshments at the festival.
