Rosedale Arch, Volker & Roanoke Bi-State Urban Hike
Guided urban hike exploring Rosedale Arch and historic KC neighborhoods.
This guided urban hike takes you on a roughly three-mile journey across the Kansas-Missouri state line, starting at the Rosedale Memorial Arch. You'll spend between three and three-and-a-half hours exploring neighborhoods on both sides of the border, including stops at the shops, restaurants, and murals along West 39th Street. The route also covers the historic Volker and Roanoke areas, where you'll walk tree-lined boulevards, visit parks, and even explore a bat cave.
The hike includes a guided tour of the Thomas Hart Benton Home and Studio, plus time on the Roanoke Park Trail. This experience costs $40.28 per person (after taxes) and is best suited for families comfortable with a moderate outdoor walk. Participants should meet in the parking lot across from Rosedale Middle School. For more details or to register, contact Urban Hikes Kansas City at (913) 229-6493 or adventurer@urbanhikeskc.com.
