Scarritt Renaissance Fall Celebration

Scarritt Renaissance Fall Celebration

Fall celebration with family activities at The Museum of Kansas City.

Head to The Museum of Kansas City for a relaxed afternoon celebrating the arrival of fall with your family. The Scarritt Renaissance Neighborhood Association is hosting a three-hour event filled with live honky-tonk music from Rex Hobart and the Misery Boys, plus games and activities for kids of all ages. Your little ones can enjoy free face painting while everyone snacks on complimentary hot dogs and snow cones (available to the first 150 guests). The grounds themselves are part of the charm—you're welcome to bring a blanket, picnic basket, and lawn chair to settle in and enjoy the historic setting at your own pace. Best of all, admission is completely free and the whole family is welcome. Along with the entertainment and kids' activities, there are pumpkin and apple giveaways to take home. Parents who'd like can purchase adult beverages from Elixir on-site, though outside alcohol isn't permitted. It's a laid-back way to spend an early fall afternoon without breaking the budget.
