Summer Break Family Day

Bring your family to the Kemper Museum for a full morning of creative exploration and entertainment. You'll enjoy a live puppet performance featuring StoneLion Puppet Theater at 10:30 a.m., where a wildlife photographer character and her elephant sidekick introduce kids to endangered animals from around the world in a musical show. From 11:15 a.m. onward, children can drop in for hands-on art-making activities inspired by the current gallery exhibitions. Beyond the scheduled performance and activities, families can participate in a museum-wide scavenger hunt, join a docent-led tour designed for kids, and enter to win a giveaway from the museum shop. Best of all, this event is completely free, and museum admission is always free too. While registration is encouraged, it's not required. Paid parking is available on-site, though free street parking surrounds the museum, and free parking is offered to museum members.
