Time Travelers: Keep It Clean

Step into summer farm life during this hands-on history program at Shawnee Town 1929. Your family will tackle authentic chores from the 1920s, including washing the family car, tidying the house, and preparing vegetables for market. It's a fun way to experience what daily work looked like a century ago, with activities suited for kids and parents to do together. All activities are included with general admission to the site. Members of the Friends of Shawnee Town family program enjoy free admission throughout the summer. Rather than following a guided tour, you'll have the freedom to explore at your own pace and interact with knowledgeable staff and volunteers stationed around the historic truck farm and recreated downtown. Dress for outdoor work and come ready to learn!
