Walk and Read at Strang Park

Walk and Read at Strang Park

Stroll a paved path reading stories displayed around Strang Park.

Take a stroll through Strang Park while enjoying stories along the way. This year-round program features two children's books displayed on a paved path behind Central Resource Library. One story guides you from the library to the playground, and the other takes you back. It's a simple way to combine outdoor activity with reading, perfect for families looking to spend time together in a peaceful setting. This initiative is a collaboration between Johnson County Library, Johnson County Department of Health and Environment, and the City of Overland Park. Different stories rotate each month, so there's always something new to discover. Keep in mind that dates may shift depending on weather conditions. There's no registration needed—just show up and enjoy the walk at your own pace.
