Youth Beginner Horsemanship

Youth Beginner Horsemanship

Learn horsemanship basics: safety, grooming, tacking, and riding skills.

Your child will get hands-on experience learning the fundamentals of horsemanship in this beginner-focused class. The program covers essential skills like safety practices, grooming, equipment preparation (tacking), basic horse care, and riding instruction. It's a great introduction for kids who are curious about horses but new to the activity. Participants should come dressed in long pants and hard-soled shoes for safety and comfort. The class starts in mid-September and is held locally in Lee's Summit. This is an ideal program for young riders ready to learn proper technique and build confidence around horses in a structured setting.
